veeb CMS / team demo

What we have so far

This is our Laravel and Filament demo. Below are the current features and links to try them. The longer technical guide is on a separate page.

Current features

Pages & blocks

The idea will be familiar from ACF Flexible Content. Add one of seven blocks, move it and save. The picker renders a layout example automatically.

Edit the playground

Articles & formatting

Open the sample article and try a background section or small text. Save and compare it with the public view; both use the same content styles.

Edit articles

Languages & translations

Add a language and copy saved content into a draft in that language. Translate the text yourself; versions do not overwrite each other.

Manage languages

Images & links

Images have previews and alternative text. Internal links reference actual records, so they can follow a changed slug.

Try content fields

Forms & submissions

Create a form, add fields and review submissions. Translate creates a draft in another language; labels and choices are edited independently.

Manage forms

Publication & SEO

Drafts are hidden publicly. Language versions have their own URLs and SEO references. Editing content invalidates its public cache.

Two different editors

The Filament page editor showing playground blocks with reorder and preview controls.

Page editor

Pages use predefined blocks. Add a hero, text, quote, cards, FAQ, related articles or form, then edit their fields and order.

Article editor

Write the main article content as rich text. The toolbar includes headings, lists, links, small text and a background colour for selected content. The editor uses the article’s actual content styles. One shared stylesheet updates both the editor and the published article.

Blocks have previews

The block picker renders each layout using its current template and site styles. Existing blocks also have a preview icon in their header, so you can check the example there.

These are automatically rendered layout samples. To see your own changes, save the page and open View page. The images above are actual screenshots of the page and article editors.

How the pieces fit together

Laravel handles data, requests and server-side logic. Filament provides admin forms, tables and actions. Blade renders the public pages.

Pages, articles, blocks, translations and public forms are our implementation in this project. In WordPress terms, you will recognize content types, ACF-like fields and templates, but their structure is defined in application code.

This is a quote block. You can edit the text, author and additional line in the admin, then move the block between other sections.

What comes from Laravel

Used in this demo

Models and relationships, database migrations, server-side validation, sessions, authentication, CSRF protection, file storage and caching. Filament adds the admin forms, tables, filters and actions.

Available in the framework, not configured here

Queues for background jobs, scheduled tasks, email and notifications, and HTTP integrations with external services. Each needs actual implementation, service configuration and background processes where appropriate.

Questions and answers

Details and limitations

Can we edit all the blocks on this page?
Yes. Pages contains the page content. Add, remove or reorder sections. The playground is a separate page for experiments. Picker images show layout examples, not unsaved content.
Does Translate translate the text automatically?
No. It copies saved content into a draft in the target language. An editor translates the text. Content and publication remain independent between versions.
Can I choose images and links?
Yes. Hero, card and cover images have a preview and alt text. New JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF uploads are limited to 2 MB. Cards can also link to a published page or article.
Where do demo submissions go?
Into this application’s database. Open Forms, select the form and review Submissions. The demo does not send email. Please use sample data.
Does this include every WordPress feature?
No. This is our custom starting point. Revision recovery, a menu manager, a role-management interface, site search and a plugin catalogue do not appear automatically. Each project needs a scope decision.

Things to try

  1. Open the playground editor, change a heading and move a block. Save and use View page to see the result.
  2. Open an article and add or remove a background section.
  3. Create a draft in another language. Check what is copied and what remains independently editable.
  4. Submit the form below with sample data and find the response under Forms.

The longer developer guide and knowledge check are on a separate page.
